name is Bob and I'm the founder of Pony-Xpress Vintage Mustangs. My
love of the Ford Mustang reaches back to the days of my youth but
it feels like it was just yesterday....it was the Summer of 85 when
my friend Scott and I first realized our boyhood dream of Mustang
ownership. Scott purchased his first car, a red '65 Fastback and I
got a '70 Super Cobra Jet Torino.
That summer we cruised in
the red '65 Fastback making memories to last a lifetime. Realizing
that it was a gem of a car, we decided to put it in storage at the
end of that Summer and it has been there ever since. We are now
in the process of restoring it to original condition. That is how
Pony-Xpress came to be. When I started the search for parts, I came
to realize that there must be other people in love with the pony
car who were doing exactly the same thing and I knew that I wanted
to be a distributor, to make other people's dreams come true too.
The Mustang became my first
love when I saw the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" and
Bullitt. There is no other car like it. Since then, I've built a
'69 coupe for my little brother and owned a '79 Mustang pace car
. I wouldn't drive any other car. Currently I drive a 5.0 with over
100,000 miles on it and it's still going strong and looking great.
